A queen’s gotta love a great diva line-up and this year’s Bluesfest bill sees some of the greats grace our region.
This Easter, Mary J Blige and Corinne Bailey Rae will rub shoulders with the likes of Patti Smith, Bonnie Raitt, Rickie Lee Jones and Beth Hart. Not to mention the sublime Mavis Staples.
In a more contemporary vein, explore the sounds of British soul singer Nora Mvula, gutsy rock ‘n’ roller Nikki Hill and openly gay Canadian singer-songwriter Irish Mythen.
Bluesfest runs from Thursday April 13 to Monday April 17 inclusive at the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, just north of Byron bay.
While Easter can be notoriously rainy on the north coast, Revelwood is only 20 minutes down the road from the Bluesfest site – and best of all you don’t have to pass through Byron traffic jams to get here.
