Creekview cabana unavailable

Our Creekview bamboo sleep space has sustained some damage in a recent storm.

While it is not structural, it has potentially impacted the experience of cabana guests.

As a your comfort and enjoyment is our highest priority, we have decided not to take bookings for Creekview until further notice.

You will see that it is marked as ‘sold’ on our online bookings page – this is the only way for us to prevent inadvertent bookings for the time being.

If you are interested in an accommodation alternative to our in-house rooms, please contact us by phone or email to discuss.

Camping

It’s on again. Revelwood is open for camping again over the New Year period, from 27 December 2016 to January 8. We will also consider (10+) group bookings beyond this period subject to weather etc.

Bookings are now open on a first-come, first-served basis. While there is no minimum number of nights, please be aware that camp spaces are limited. To avoid disappointment it is advisable to book the total number of nights you plan to stay. The latest we accept campers is lunchtime on December 31 then for a brief period before the party on January 2, between 1030 and 11:30 AM. (If you are a first time visitor to Revelwood and you miss the safety briefing on Jan 2 at 11:30am we regret you will not be able to camp).  From January 3 onward standard check-in times apply.

We offer three separate camping areas nestled amongst our beautiful rainforest and river. Shukranu is car free, and is a beautiful area next to the river featured in much of our photo galleries. Spectacular, private setting around a 100 metre walk from your car. It is our most popular and pre-booking is essential. Gaandu is surrounded by beautiful bamboo plantations and overlooks the creek from high. It is only accessible by 4WD vehicles and you can park next to your tent. Kaala Lund overlooks smaller Revelwood creek, is closest to the portaloo and is a bit less private. You can gain access with a regular 2WD vehicle and park next to your tent during dry weather.

Please note

  • While there is no minimum number of nights, please be aware that camp spaces are limited. To avoid disappointment it is advisable to book the total number of nights you plan to stay. All camping must be pre-booked – strictly no drop-ins.
  • There is a portaloo between Shukranu and Kaala Lund. A hot shower is available on the pooldeck.
  • Please register at the house on arrival – you will be escorted to your campsite. (Please note, photo ID is required for all guests of Revelwood.)
  • It is important to arrive before sunset to set-up your tent as there is no electricity in any of our campsites.
  • There will be one open fireplace in “Andelain” for shared use (fire restrictions permitting) and a BBQ.
  • Please camp in numbered areas only. All sites are unpowered.
  • To respect nearby campers and neighbours, please keep noise levels down in the camping ground after 11pm. No binge drinking or methamphetamine use. Please read our alcohol and drug policy.
  • Access to Wi-Fi (50mb max per day).
  • Spa and pool deck (including the hot outdoor shower) is available between 8 am and 10:30pm. (Access to the main house is restricted to B&B guests only.)
  • You will need to supply your own tent, towels, bedding, food, water containers, lighting and perhaps a small portagas stove. If you do not wish to self-cater, there are restaurants and cafes in Bangalow, just 5 minutes drive away.
  • Shukranu, while very beautiful, is only accessible on foot. A trolley is available to help carry your belongings.
  • We host our annual ‘Happy Nude Year’ Recovery Party and BBQ for men only on January 2. We supply food (BYO drinks). Bookings are essential and the party is open to non-guests of Revelwood. Photo ID required.
  • For greater safety and security of our guests, we now have an automated gate the the entrance to Revelwood. If you arrive unannounced or outside your prearranged check-in time you may be unable to gain access to the property.
